2018 World Grand Prix (darts) The 2018 Unibet World Grand Prix will be the 21st staging of the World Grand Prix. It will be held from 30 September–6 October 2018 at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin, Republic of Ireland

When is the 2018 PDC World Grand Prix?

The first round gets underway on Sunday, September 30, with action every night until the final is played on Saturday, 6 October at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin. Who qualifies for the World Grand Prix? The top 16 in the PDC Order of Merit win a place in the Grand Prix and they are joined by the top 16 in this year’s Pro Tour Order of Merit. The Pro Tour Order of Merit is based on prize money won in Players Championships, UK Open qualifiers and European Tour events over the year. If you have already qualified for the Grand Prix from the PDC Order of Merit then the player below in the rankings will qualify. Only the top eight in the Order of Merit are seeded for the competition, which is why we have a match like Mensur Suljovic vs James Wade in the first round this year.

The World Grand Prix 2018 will be played from 30 September till 6 October in the familiar Citywest Hotel in Dublin. The top 16 of the Order of Merit, plus the best 16 players from the Players Championship Order of Merit complete the field of 32.

Traditionally all legs in Ireland must not only be finished with a double, but each leg should be started with a double too. Daryl Gurney will be defending his title this year after claiming the crown last year against Simon Whitlock in a thrilling final.
